Louis Savini Obituary
Louis J. Savini, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
Born in Lebanon, PA, Mr. Savini was the son of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Nori) Savini. He served our country during World War II in the U.S. Army. During his service he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze stars, and the World War II Victory Medal.
Following his military service, he attended Goldey Beacom College and received his bachelor of accounts degree in accounting and finance. He led a long productive and successful career in the banking and financial field.
Mr. Savini loved to play music especially the trumpet and often played with his brother and sisters at weddings and celebrations. He was a vital member of his community and enjoyed time at the Elks, Modern Maturity Center, and breakfast with his dear friends at McDonald’s.
An avid sports fan he played high school football, was a lifellong Philadelphia Phillies fan, and loved to play golf. He was a long time member of Maple Dale Country Club where he could be found golfing or socializing.
He was preceded in death by this wife Mary (Dunn) Savini, his son Patrick Savini, brother Gabriel Savini and sisters Ada and Caroline Savini. Mr. Savini is survived by his daughter in law Carolyn (Barnes) Savini, granddaughter Molly Savini, and an abundance of friends.
Family will receive visitors from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W Camden Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, DE 19934. Additionally, there will be a committal service with military honors at 11:00 A.M on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd. Bear , DE 19701.
